All-rounder trio of Suzie Bates (New Zealand), Charlie Dean (England) and Ashley Gardner (Australia) have been shortlisted for the ICC Women's Player of the Month award for December 2022. Suji was a key player in both the ODI and T20I series in the home series against Bangladesh. He performed brilliantly by scoring an unbeaten 93 in the first 50 overs of the match. With 223 runs in both series, the New Zealand opener is the first nomination for the ICC Women's Player of the Month.

England enjoyed a dominant series of results over the West Indies in last month's ODIs and T20Is and Charley continued to be a threat with the ball as he took 18 wickets across both formats in December. Charley, the leading wicket-taker in both series, took four wickets on two separate occasions. Along with his impressive strike rate, he also enjoys an astonishing economic rate.
