Congress's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' resumed under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in Mandya district of Karnataka today after a two-day break. Congress President Sonia Gandhi also joined the yatra for the first time.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi had reached Mysuru on Monday. When the yatra started after a two-day break, on Thursday, when the India-India Jodi Yatra resumed from Mandya, Sonia Gandhi also joined it along with Rahul Gandhi. This increased the enthusiasm of Congress leaders and workers manifold. Sonia Gandhi did not participate in the election campaign due to health reasons. After a long time, she has been involved in some big public program of the party and among the workers. The India Jodo Yatra, which lasts for about five months, will go from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Rahul Gandhi will be involved in this entire journey of 3570 kms.
