Switch is operating its twin-floor electric AC buses in the United Kingdom. This electric double-decker AC bus EiV22 has a 231 kWh battery and dual gun charging system to charge it.

Switch Mobility, the EV division of Ashok Leyland, today introduced India's first electric double-decker AC bus.Union Minister Nitin Gadkari was also present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, he said, "It gives me great pleasure to launch Ashok Leyland's Electric Double Decker Bus in Mumbai today.
250 km range
As of now, Switch is running its twin-floor electric AC buses in the United Kingdom.This electric double-decker AC bus EiV22 has a 231 kWh battery and dual gun charging system to charge it.According to the company, this bus can cover a distance of up to 250 km on a single charge.
The company said that it has received an order for 200 electric double-decker buses in Mumbai and is trying to carve a niche for itself in the electric double-decker segment in the country.

In April this year, Switch Mobility announced an investment of £300 million to develop a range of electric buses and light commercial vehicles in India and the UK.
Switch EiV 22 is designed and developed for India.The company is confident that the EiV 22 will be a success in public transport.
