Bandicoot has made the city's manhole cleaning process fully automated, providing a safer and more efficient solution to the age-old problem of manhole cleaning.

Ujjain, the fifth-largest city in Madhya Pradesh by population, had been facing the challenge of cleaning its extensive sewage system for years. Compared to other municipal corporations of MP, Ujjain has a more extensive sewage system of around 15 to 20 thousand manholes according to official data. With the launch of Bandicoot robot the city's manhole cleaning process will be improved to a great extent. Robotic technology allows for a thorough and faster cleaning process, enabling manholes to be cleaned in minutes compared to hours with traditional manual methods. The Bandicoot robot can perform all the tasks that a human would do during the cleaning process. Apart from Ujjain, Indore is the cleanest  city in India where five Bandicoots are currently operational.

The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram declared in the 2023-2024 Union Budget that all manholes in towns and cities in India will be transformed into Machine-holes. As a part of this initiative, Navaraipur has received these Bandicoots to clean the manholes, bringing efficiencies  and empathetic approach in the whole cleaning process. The initiative also aims to avoid accidents and other health hazards among the sanitation workers, ensuring zero human entry inside the manholes.

Bandicoot robot is equipped with advanced sensors and cameras that allow it to navigate through the narrow and confined spaces of manholes. It can remove waste and debris without the need for human intervention, reducing the risk of injury to sanitation workers and improving overall efficiency. The deployment of the Bandicoot robot in Nava Raipur is expected to serve as a model for other cities in the state to adopt similar robotic technology for their sanitation needs. Around 300 plus robots are currently working in various ULBs across the country.

In Nov 2022, Mintoo – A TV Series based on the journey of a woman, was released internationally. Mintoo was Lomharsh’s brainchild and received great response from international audiences in the US, UK, Germany and Japan. As a filmmaker, everyone attempts to create characters which will be remembered in the coming time, which is the thought behind creating ‘Mintoo’. I just don’t want to create fiction but to create a character which can be felt like part of us, says Lomharsh. After Mintoo’s Success, I felt more confident and decided to take over the task of designing a SUPERHERO.

Rashmi Mishra Played the lead character of ‘Mintoo’, and she told that ‘Mintoo’s character was challenging to play as it portrays the real struggle of today’s independent working women. The pain, the anger, the betrayal, the love and every other sense of women’s sentiments was fulfilled in the character ‘Mintoo’. I still remember a scene we were filming where I was being chased from an incident from the past. While shooting for this scene, I really started shivering and crying. Everyone thought it was a brilliant piece of act, but inside I knew it came out as a reality. I was so involved in the character during the shoot.

When asked to tell more about this Superhero, director Lom told that ‘ I cannot reveal much at this stage, but it is going to be an interesting one, finally after a long time, we are going to witness a witty and ‘thoda sa teekha’ SUPERHERO. We have been working on it for the last 2 years, and now very soon we will start shooting the campaign for the same. Initially, this superhero will be revealed to a digital audience, and later on, if all goes well, then this superhero will be seen on the big screen as well.

The account also must not have signs of being misleading or deceptive. Moreover, only users with a verified mobile number can get the blue tick on the platform.

However, these measures may not be full-proof as there are many accounts on the platform, managed by humans but exhibit spam-like behaviour. Easy verifications may solidify their spam-like behaviour on Twitter.

In the old system, users with the legacy badge were followed by Twitter's Verified profile. The profile suggested that the platform had over 4 lakh verified profiles. Recently, the Twitter page unfollowed all users with the legacy blue badge.

In an effort to resolve the ongoing power tussle between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, the Congress party has reportedly roped in senior leader Kamal Nath to pacify the warring factions.

According to sources, Kamal Nath, who is known for his strong political acumen, has been asked to intervene and bring the two leaders together for a dialogue to resolve their differences. This move comes after several attempts to resolve the issue failed.

"Apple would seek to replicate the famed Apple retail experience including, overall consumer experience, staff knowledge and expertise, and service standards, amongst others - in India, and steer greater market growth in the years ahead. In the recent past, Apple has enjoyed an unprecedented growth momentum in India, including an increased share of domestic manufacturing, aggressive marketing and affordability initiatives, and the success of the Apple India Online store," Prabhu Ram, Head- the Industry Intelligence Group at CMR told swarajya media .

As per according to Counterpoint Research, 'Make in India' shipments from Apple grew 65 percent (on-year) by volume and 162 percent by value, taking the brand's value share to 25 percent in 2022, up from 12 percent in 2021, a new report has shown. The contribution of exports in 'Make in India' smartphone shipments reached the highest ever in 2022 both in volume (20 percent) and value terms (30 percent). Overall, 'Make in India' smartphone shipments declined 3 percent YoY in 2022 (January-December) to reach 188 million unitsThe major factor behind this decline was the softening of consumer demand due to macroeconomic headwinds, especially in the second half of the year.

"I think the branded stores will further strengthen the overall experience of being in an Apple ecosystem. Apple will be able to control the end-to-end user experience and this will further take its brand image to one level up. We have seen many stories worldwide of consumers sharing positive purchase experiences from Apple-branded stores and India will be no different. As per Counterpoint research city-level tracker- Mumbai contributed to 10 percent of the iPhone sales and the second largest for Apple ( After Delhi)," Tarun Pathak, Research Director, Devices and Ecosystems at Counterpoint Research mentioned.

Apple sold 2 million iPhones in India in the holiday quarter (Q4) of 2022, registering 18 percent growth (quarter-on-quarter) for its flagship device. The Indian market share of iPhones reached 5.5 percent for 2022, an 11 percent growth (year-on-year) and with the offline presence, the overall presence of Apple in India will go up.

"While Apple has taken time to open its store in India, it makes sense now more than ever. The Indian consumer is maturing and spending more, especially at the premium end which makes India the next big growth market in the next decade for Apple across product and service categories," said Navkendar Singh, Associate Vice President with IDC India.

Apple is also reportedly planning to pluck India out of the existing consolidation including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India and make it a separate sales region to increase its focus on the South Asian country that has emerged as a top alternative to China. The surge in the iPhone demand in India has likely encouraged Apple to reshuffle its international sales operations to make India as prominent as China. In addition, the company is looking forward to expanding its offline presence too in the country.

"The smartphone industry is poised to see a new wave in retail for which brands are proactively preparing to show up their presence. At the same time, the Apple moment has arrived in India owing to its continuous growth momentum in the past few years. The Apple Mumbai store intersects these two trends indicating where the future is heading,"

 Mr Gehlot proposed a budget of Rs 2,000 crore for infrastructure development and human resources in the first phase of creating the new districts. Fifteen years ago, Ms Raje when she was the Chief Minister had created Pratapgarh as a district. The new districts are Anoopgarh, which was part of Ganganagar; Balotra (Barmer), Beawar (Ajmer), Kekri (Ajmer), Deeg (Bharatpur), Deedwana-Kuchaman (Nagaur), Dudu (Jaipur), Gangapur City (Sawai Madhopur), Jaipur North, Jaipur South, Jodhpur East, Jodhpur West, Kotputli-Behror (Jaipur-Alwar), Khertal (Alwar), Neem Ka Thana (Sikar), Phalodi (Jodhpur), Salumber (Udaipur), Sanchore (Jalore) and Shahpura (Bhilwara).

The ruling Congress and the BJP have already started warming up campaigns ahead of the election scheduled later this year. Both parties were seen last month reaching out to the electorally significant Gujjar community in Rajasthan. Gujjars, who constitute around 9 to 12 per cent of the state population and are significant in 40 to 50 assembly seats in eastern Rajasthan, are a critical vote bank for both the Congress and the BJP.

 The Congress, however, has a rebel crisis at hand ahead of the election. Mr Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have been on loggerheads for long, and though there's an effort to project unity, both have been quick to provocation with subtle jibes at each other.
