Rohingya Refugees: The Ministry of Home Affairs has given clarification on the statement of Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri regarding the settlement of Rohingyas.Actually, Hardeep Puri had tweeted saying that the Center has decided to provide EWS flats to Rohingyas while providing basic services.After this statement, the central government stood in the dock.
After the growing controversy over this, the Ministry of Home Affairs has said that no decision has been taken to shift Rohingyas to EWS flats. The Ministry of Home Affairs has given information on this matter by tweeting.
Rohingya will remain in detention center till deportation
The Ministry of Home Affairs tweeted, "On the reports published by certain sections of the media regarding Rohingya illegal migrants, it is clarified that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to provide EWS flats to Rohingya illegal migrants at Bakkarwala, New Delhi. No instructions have been given."

The Ministry of Home Affairs further wrote, “Delhi Government proposes to relocate Rohingyas to a new location. The statement said that "illegal foreigners are to be kept in detention centers as per law till their deportation. The Delhi government has not declared the present location as detention centre. They have been directed to do so immediately."

What is the matter?
Earlier, Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri had tweeted that the central government has decided to allot flats to Rohingya refugees.These flats belong to the EWS (Economic Weaker Section) category built in Delhi.
After this tweet, the central government was surrounded from all sides and the Aam Aadmi Party also became an attacker. Even some BJP leaders had opposed the decision.
