CJI UU LALIT | Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit while addressing the convocation at the 9th convocation of National Law University Odisha on Saturday said that legal aid work is neglected in the country. Hence urged the young law graduates to dedicate their time and energy to provide legal aid services as much as possible.

The CJI said that the profession of law has been at the fore when it comes to upholding civil rights. “History of every society, every country shows that a legally trained mind has been a beacon, a guide and a center of attraction when it comes to raising voice against any kind of injustice. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said, 'Even many freedom fighters and founders of the Constituent Assembly were by your profession.' He said that he was the one who tried to shape the destiny of the country. A total of 221 graduates were awarded degrees on the occasion.
