Delhi liquor scam: ED summons KCR's daughter Kavitha, to be questioned on March 9

Delhi Liquor Scam: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Kavitha, BRS MLC and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the Delhi liquor scam. ED had called Kavita yesterday i.e. on March 9 for questioning in this matter. ED has summoned Kavitha, daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in the Delhi liquor scam, officials said. He has been called for questioning tomorrow, March 9. Let us tell you that in this case former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been arrested after a long interrogation. Now he is lodged in Tihar Jail.

This comes a day after the ED arrested Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramachandran Pillai in connection with alleged irregularities and corruption in the now-cancelled Delhi Liquor Policy. Pillai is an accused in the case and allegedly worked as a frontman in a company for Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The ED had named Kavita in its charge sheet in the case, accusing her of holding a 65 percent stake in Indospirits, a liquor company. He was questioned by the probe agency on December 11, 2022, at his Hyderabad home.

Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramachandran Pillai, in his statement to the ED, had earlier said that there was a deal between K Kavitha, MLC, Telangana and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Kavita got access to it in exchange for a bribe of Rs 100 crore. The Delhi liquor business, in particular, holds stakes in Indospirits. He mentioned that K represented Kavitha in the Indo Spirit firm and asked him to become a partner on their behalf.

Meanwhile, Kavita has called for a protest on March 10 at Jantar Mantar demanding the Women's Reservation Bill and requesting all leaders of the opposition camp to be present.
