In the Diamond League, Neeraj fought with Germany's Julian Weber, but Weber could not overcome Neeraj. Weber made his final throw of 87.03m and finished just behind Neeraj. Whereas, Jakub Vadlejche of the Czech Republic won the silver medal with a throw of 86.13 meters. Neeraj Chopra landed in Diamond League after his injury. He missed the FBK Games and Paavo Nurmi Games due to injury.
