The slain terrorist has been identified as Kamran Bhai alias Hanees. Hanis was associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed. He was active in Kulgam and Shopian for the past few days. Indian soldiers have got a big success due to his death. The ADGP of Kashmir has confirmed the death of Hanees. A news agency quoted him as saying that he was killed in an encounter in Shopian.

Even after the terrorist was killed, the search operation is going on in the area. According to information received from Jammu and Kashmir officials, the security forces had launched a cordon and search operation on Friday morning after information about the presence of terrorists in the Kaiparin area in Shopian, Kashmir. During this, the security forces retaliated after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the encounter took place.

It is to be known that earlier on November 1, two separate encounter incidents were reported in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama and Anantnag districts. Four terrorists were killed by the security forces in the encounter at both of these places. Along with the army, the police of Jammu and Kashmir were also involved in this operation.
