Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia's difficulties seem to be increasing. The Union Home Ministry has given CBI permission to file a case against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The Ministry of Home Affairs has sanctioned the prosecution of Manish Sisodia in the 'Feedback Unit' alleged espionage case. On February 8, the CBI demanded the Ministry of Home Affairs register a case against Manish Sisodia. In which the Ministry of Home Affairs has given approval to the CBI to register the case. The CBI claims that the Feedback Unit (FBU) of the Delhi government is working in the personal interests of the Aam Aadmi Party and Sisodia. The CBI said that the government did not take any formal action against any department. The Bharatiya Janata Party also protested against this.

It may be noted that a few months after winning the 2015 assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party government had reportedly formed a "Feedback Unit" (FBU) to strengthen the vigilance department. It is alleged that this unit was collecting political intelligence. Especially since you were spying on political opponents through this unit.

A complaint was given to the CBI against the Feedback Unit of the Delhi government and on preliminary investigation, the CBI found that the FBU had also collected political intelligence. The CBI submitted a report to the Vigilance Department on January 12, 2023.

The CBI report sought the LG's nod to register a case against Deputy CM Manish Sisodia under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and IPC. Thereafter, the CBI's request was forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In the investigation, the CBI revealed that 60% of the reports prepared by the Feedback Unit pertained to matters relating to the Vigilance Department, while 40% were about "political intelligence". The agency claimed that the unit (FBU) was not working in the interest of the Delhi government, but in the personal interest of the Aam Aadmi Party and Sisodia. After this, a demand was made to register a case against Manish Sisodia.
