Former India opener Gautam Gambhir is all set to play in the second edition of the Legends League cricket. Legends league cricket is starting from 17th September. Gambhir expressed his happiness by confirming his participation. He said that he is happy to return to cricket. Gautam Gambhir, who is a member of the Lok Sabha, is all set to play for the Maharaja of India side.

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir is all set to play in the second edition of the Legends League cricket. Legends league cricket is starting from 17th September. Gambhir expressed his happiness by confirming his participation. He said that he is happy to return to cricket. Gautam Gambhir, who is a member of the Lok Sabha, is all set to play for the Maharaja of India side.

Gambhir said that he will be available in action from September 17, a day after the special match between India Maharajas and the world giants. Former India captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will lead the Maharajas in a special match against the Eoin Morgan-led Giants as Legends League Cricket celebrate 75 years of India's independence at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Gambhir said in an official release that I am happy to share that I have committed to participate in the upcoming Legends League Cricket from 17th September. I look forward to being on the cricket field again. It will be a privilege and honor for me to shake my shoulders once.

Gambhir played 58 Tests, 147 ODIs, and 37 T20Is for India, scoring over 10,000 runs in international cricket. Gambhir played a key role in India's memorable T20 World Cup victory in 2007. The left-handed opener was the star of the show in the final of the 2011 World Cup, which India won by defeating Sri Lanka in the final in Mumbai.

Gambhir was also an influential player in the Indian Premier League, leading Kolkata Knight Riders to titles in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir retired from all forms of cricket in 2018.
