After the second victory of the NDA formation in the Nagaland assembly elections, the preparations for the formation of the new government in the state are going on in full swing. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio Governor La. submitted his resignation to Ganesan. Neiphiu Rio has been unanimously elected as the leader of the NDPP Legislature Party. Now Naiphiu is going to stake claim to form the government on Monday. In this episode, Neiphiu Rio and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will meet the BJP high command in New Delhi on Sunday.

It is being told that Neiphiu Rio and Himanta Biswa Sarma will meet senior BJP leaders and talks will be held regarding government formation in the state. It is believed that talks will be held with the BJP high command for the post of Deputy Chief Minister and other posts.

The NDPP and BJP alliance secured an absolute majority by winning 37 seats in the 60-member assembly. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for March 7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to be present in Kohima on this occasion.
