Political atmosphere heats up again in Jharkhand, ED summons CM Hemant Soren, JMM rally in protest tomorrow

The political atmosphere of Jharkhand has again heated up. Enforcement Directorate has issued a summons to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. A meeting of ruling MLAs and prominent leaders has been called this evening as soon as ED's summons comes. On the other hand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has called a Halla Bol rally tomorrow. As soon as the news of ED's summons to CM Soren spread, the political mercury of Jharkhand became high.

The ruling coalition has called a meeting of MLAs and prominent leaders at CM House at 5 pm today. All the MLAs have been asked to compulsorily be present in the meeting. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will return to Ranchi in the evening after attending several programs in Sahibganj today. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has reacted strongly to the summons sent to the Chief Minister by the ED, calling it a conspiracy to destabilize the democratically elected government. The party has called a Halla Bol rally in Ranchi on Thursday. It is believed that JMM has prepared for a show of strength against the action of ED through this rally.

In the case related to money laundering through illegal mining, the ED has summoned CM Hemant Soren to appear for questioning at the regional office in Ranchi on Thursday, November 3 at 11.00 am. In the illegal mining case, the ED has raided more than 30 places since last May and caught a case of money laundering of more than one thousand crores.

In view of the CM's interrogation, the ED has written a letter to the state police headquarters and the CRPF asking them to make proper security arrangements in and outside the ED regional office at Ranchi's Airport Road on November 3. JMM leader Manoj Pandey has said that all this is happening under the politics of revenge by the BJP government at the Centre. He said that if Hemant Soren is being summoned in the mining case, then the Prime Minister should also be summoned for the various disturbances happening in the country.

BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi has tweeted that Hemant Soren will become the first Chief Minister of the country who will appear before the ED for interrogation while serving as the Chief Minister on charges of scam and robbery. God forbid that they also make the record of the Chief Minister running the state from jail in the name of Jharkhand.

In another tweet, Marandi said that if Chief Minister Hemant Soren ji has been called by the ED then he is not alone. In the lust for money and wealth, they have done the work of handing over the entire state to hooligans, mawalis, touts, middlemen and a handful of thieves and dishonest officers only to find ways to collect and expend the loot themselves.

Marandi has said that Hemant ji may have forgotten that mandate does not mean a license to loot and votes cannot cover the sin of looting. If you have robbed then be ready to face the punishment. The law of the land is taking its course. If you are innocent, you will go away spotless. Well, the public is seeing everything and understanding.
