In the Women's World Boxing Championships, Neetu Ghanghas raised the prestige of India in the field. India's Neetu Ghanghas (22 years) has become the world champion after defeating Mongolia's Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg in the 48kg category of the Women's World Boxing Championships. Neetu Ghanghas defeated the Mongolian boxer 5-0 in a one-sided match. With this victory, Neetu Ghanghas has become the sixth Indian boxer to become a world champion. Before Neetu Ghanghas, this honour has been achieved by MC Mary Kom, Sarita Devi, Jenny, Lekha KC, and Nikhat Zareen. Earlier, Indian women's boxer Neetu Ghanghas entered the final by defeating Kazakhstan's Alua Balkibekova 5-2 in the semi-final match. But everyone is praising the manner in which Neetu Ghanghas became the world champion by registering a one-sided victory in the finals.

India's Neetu Ghanghas (48kg) defeated two-time Asian Championship bronze medalist Lutsekhan Altantseg of Mongolia 5-0 in front of a packed IG Stadium on Saturday to become the world champion. Both the boxers started the bout aggressively but the Indian boxer landed punches in the face of the Mongolian boxer and won the first round 5-0.

The second round was a close one but Neetu managed to win it 3-2. In the third round, Neetu played smartly and won the gold medal. Neetu Ghanghas continued to dominate throughout the tournament. He has won three bouts via referee-stopped contest (RSC) decisions.

However, Neetu kept her cool with some powerful jabs and won the round 3-2. The intent remained the same in the final round as Neetu got a straight yellow card. His opponent also received a yellow card a moment later. When he tried to fight his way into the competition.

Four boxers from India have reached the finals of the Women's World Boxing Championships. One of these last-time world champions Nikhat Zareen is also included. She will take on two-time Asian champion and 2018 Asian Games bronze medalist Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam in the 50kg final on Sunday.
