Released on the OTT platform Disney Hotstar, the film is getting a good response in a week. Looking at the response received by the film, it can be considered that this film will prove to be a ray of hope for Bollywood. This thriller genre film revolves around a serial killer who preys on school girls.

This thriller murder mystery produced by Pooja Entertainment has received a good response from critics as well. The initial earnings of this film by Akshay Kumar have broken many records. Katputli has included itself in the list of hit films with 8 million views. Also, Katputli has left behind Alia Bhatt's 'Darlings' and Jhanvi Kapoor's 'Goodluck Jerry' in terms of views. Darlings had 6.7 million OTT views while Good Luck Jerry had 4.9 million views.

Made on a budget of 150 crores, the digital rights of this film have been bought by Star Group for about 180 crores. Khiladi Kumar has charged around 120 crores for this film. Puppet is touted to be one of those films for which OTT platforms are even ready to pay the most.

The story of the film is from the small town of Kasauli in Himachal, where Akshay Kumar's sister and brother-in-law live. The film stars Sargun Mehta, Chandrachud Singh and Akshay Kumar in the role of a police officer. Akshay has become a cop in the film but his mind is devoted to writing murder mysteries and his research is useful in locating the serial killer who murdered school-going girls in the valleys of Kasauli. Every week the murder of girls comes as a big challenge in front of the police.

'Cuttputlli' is a Hindi remake of the South blockbuster film 'Ratsasan', directed by Ranjit Tiwari. Interesting story and full of suspense that will leave you goosebumps. Music plays a big role in making any murder mystery a thriller. The background score given by Julius in the film is enough to fill the audience with more excitement.
