In Bihar's Siwan, miscreants shot dead a ward councillor last night. Naeem Ashraf, Ward Councilor 17 of Hasanpura Nagar Panchayat under MH Nagar police station area of Siwan district, was gunned down by criminals. Naeem was the son of the late Maqbool Hasan, a resident of Jalalpur. After executing the incident, the criminals fled from the spot. After this, the local people expressed their protest through arson and road blockades.

After the murder of the ward councillor, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area. This incident is in Jalalpur village located in the Hasanpura police station area. It is being told that while returning from the wedding ceremony, the criminals shot dead Ward Councilor, Naeem Ashraf. After this, all the people fled from the spot. The matter was reported to the police, after which the police reached the spot and got involved in the investigation.

It is being told that while going home on foot, the criminals who had already ambushed shot before reaching the door of the house. The criminals fled from the spot after executing the incident. As soon as the relatives got information about the incident, there was a hue and cry. The injured was hurriedly brought to Siwan Sadar Hospital by the local people and family members where doctors declared him brought dead.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police of Nagar Police Station and Hasanpura Police Station along with Sadar SDPO Ashok Azad reached Sadar Hospital. Police have sent the dead body for postmortem. In protest against the murder, the local people surrounded the road by burning tyres. However, the police soon brought the situation under control. Police is investigating the matter.
