Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a review meeting today with Health Ministers of all States and Union Territories to assess the situation of Corona. This meeting will be through video conferencing. In the meeting, the situation of coronavirus in different states will be reviewed. Let us tell you that in the last two days, there has been an increase of about 80 percent in new cases of coronavirus. Also, more than 2300 cases of coronavirus have increased.

Officials of the Health Department, NITI Aayog, and NTAGI will also participate in this virtual meeting of Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Mansukh Mandaviya said the situation of Covid-19 that we need to be alert, but there is no need to panic. Currently, the sub-variant of Omicron that is running in the country has not increased the number of hospitalizations.

In the last few days, there is a steady increase in the cases of coronavirus in the country. On April 1, 2,994 cases were found in the country, and on April 2, 3,824 cases were reported. On the other hand, 3,641 cases were registered on 3 April and 3038 on 4 April. Talking about April 5, 4,435 cases were reported on this day. With this, at present, the number of active cases in the country has increased to 25,587.

So far more than 220.66 crore doses of corona vaccine have been administered in the country. The first dose has been given to more than 102.74 crore people. In addition, about 95.20 crore second doses have been administered. At the same time, more than 22.72 crore people have also received pre-vacation doses.
