Delhi MCD Election Result 2022: Today the results of the Municipal Corporation elections are being declared in Delhi. Today the fate of 1349 candidates will be decided. Voting was held in 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on December 4 and only 50 percent of the voters voted. Tight security arrangements have been made for the counting of votes.

The result of the voting held on December 4 for 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is going to be declared today. The eyes of the whole country are fixed on these results. There were 1349 candidates in the fray for the MCD election. Their fate is going to be decided today. Its counting started at 8 am. For this, the Election Commission has set up a total of 42 counting centres. 68 election observers have been deployed for the counting of votes. For the last 15 years, BJP is ruling the MCD. But this time the Aam Aadmi Party government seems to be getting a chance in the exit polls.

Aam Aadmi Party has given a new slogan before the MCD results. AAP's new slogan is '5 years will be good, Kejriwal in MCD too'. According to the exit poll data, this time the Aam Aadmi Party seems to be getting a majority. Due to these figures, the AAP party office in Gadgad Delhi got ready in the night itself.

BJP and AAP fielded 250 candidates each for the 250 wards of MCD. Whereas 247 candidates of Congress were in the fray. Whereas, out of 382 independent candidates and other political parties, BSP contested on 132 wards, NCP on 26 and Janata Dal (United) on 22.

Voting was held on December 4 for 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. 50.48 percent of polling was recorded in the Delhi MCD elections. A total of 1,349 candidates are in the fray for these 250 wards, whose fate will be decided after the opening of EVMs today.

Tight security arrangements have been made at the counting centres. Twenty companies of central security forces and over 10,000 police personnel have been deployed. The officers are fully capable of ensuring that there is no violence or clash during voting.
