Election for the post of Congress President will be held on October 17

Big news has come out regarding the election of the next president of the country's oldest party, Congress. In the meeting of the Congress Working Committee held today, the date for the election of the President has been announced. After the meeting of the working committee, the media was informed that the election for the new president of Congress would be held on October 17, and the result of the election would be announced on October 19.

This meeting of the Congress Working Committee was held in Delhi. But due to being out of the country, members of the Gandhi family attended this meeting online. Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi, former President Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are not in India at this time. All these are foreign trips in connection with the treatment of Sonia Gandhi. In such a situation, all three of them virtually attended the meeting CWC.

After the Congress Working Committee meeting, senior Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh briefed the media about the decision taken in the meeting. Both these leaders told that the new president of the Congress will be elected in October. Voting will be held on October 17 and results will be announced on October 19.

It was told that the notification for the election of the President of Congress will be issued on September 22. Nominations will begin on September 24, voting will be held on October 17 and counting and results will be declared on October 19. It was formally announced after the seal of the CWC.
