Twitter introduces new ways for users to get verified without subscribing to Twitter Blue

Starting from April 1, 2023, Twitter will eliminate all old Blue verified checkmarks, affecting both individual users and corporations. However, individual users can still get blue verification for $7 a month via a web browser.

Twitter has also introduced a new feature called 'Twitter Verified Organizations' for businesses, non-profits, and government institutions to sign up and manage their verification. Companies will have to pay $1,000 per month for a golden verified checkmark, while governmental or multilateral organizations will receive a grey checkmark and circular avatar.

Organizations can choose to affiliate with any individual or entity associated with them. Affiliated accounts receive verification and an affiliate badge, displayed next to their checkmark, which directs users directly to the affiliated organization.

Any individual person's Twitter account affiliated with a verified organization is automatically verified, according to Twitter CEO Elon Musk. However, organizations will be charged an additional $50 per month for each associated account.

Twitter Business announced the Verification for Organizations program back in January, and businesses will soon receive business accounts and affiliation badges through their self-serve administrative portal.
