New Delhi: Telecom company Reliance Jio will start 'beta testing' of 5G service in four cities of the country from October 5 i.e. Dussehra. These four cities are...Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi. The company said in a statement on Tuesday that at present this service will be on an invitation basis. That is, an invitation will be sent to select users from existing Jio customers to use this service. The company will make an initial offer with this to its customers. Under this, users will get speeds of up to 1 Gbps (Gigabit per second) and unlimited 5G data.

Jio said that the company is going to beta test the True-5G service from Dussehra. This service will be launched in four cities…Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi.” According to the statement, the invited customers will not have to change their existing Jio SIM under the initial offer. Just his mobile should be 5G. Jio True 5G service will start working automatically. According to the company, as the cities become ready at the network level, it will be announced to start a 'beta testing' service there. Users will be able to take advantage of this 'beta trial' till the 'network coverage' of the city is sufficiently strong.
