There has been a glitch in the computer system of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of America, due to which the aircraft service has been badly affected. Quoting American media reports, the news agency has informed that 1,200 flights to and from the United States have been delayed, while 93 flights have been cancelled. At the same time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has tweeted that work is being done to completely restore the Air Mission System. The FAA has ordered airlines to halt all domestic flights by 9 a.m. Eastern Time. This will give time to validate the integrity of the flight.

The FAA has informed that due to a system glitch, air and ground crew are not able to update information related to landing and departure, due to which all flights are being affected. Although some services are operational, most of the services are facing problems.

Air service being affected due to technical faults in America has not affected India. DGCI has issued a statement saying that the movement of aircraft at all airports in India is continuing normally. At present, this glitch has not affected flights from India to America.
