The central government has given great relief to foreign travellers coming to India. Now international air passengers will not have to upload self-declaration forms on the Air Suvidha portal on arrival in India. The Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that the self-declaration form to be filled out by international passengers visiting the Hawai Suvidha portal has now been discontinued. The decision has come into effect from the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday. Apart from this, the necessary rules of corona vaccine and mask have also been abolished. In the form available on the Air Suvidha portal, passengers had to give information about the number of doses of the vaccine they had taken. However, the government said that only if symptoms are found, one has to remain in isolation.

The government announced that the step has been taken in view of the decline in the number of coronavirus cases and the significant progress in COVID-19 vaccination coverage globally and in India. Ministry of Civil Aviation in a notice issued revised guidelines for international arrivals Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in light of the continuous decline in the COVID-19 trajectory and significant progress in COVID-19 vaccination coverage globally as well as in India.

According to the new guidelines of the Ministry of Health, passengers coming from abroad will have to maintain physical distancing during deboarding. It will be mandatory for the officials of the health department to conduct thermal screening of all the passengers on entry. If symptoms of corona are found in a passenger, then he has to be isolated immediately. All passengers will have to monitor their health on their own after arrival. If symptoms of corona are found in any passenger, then the nearest health facility or national helpline number 1075 has to be informed immediately.

All air travellers have to fill out a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal. As per the website, the form is mandatorily filled out by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Through this, all foreign travellers submit their current health status. Passengers can fill out the form before boarding. There were many COVID-19 restrictions while travelling to India. Air Suvidha Form was one of them.

In the past, the compulsion to wear masks on flights and airports was abolished. Now there will be no penalty for not wearing a face mask in flight. It was said in the government order that the use of face masks can be advised in-flight announcements. But a fine will not be imposed.
