Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to give Rs 2.40 lakh crore to the Railways, which is 9 times more than the money given during the 2014 budget. In the budget, it has been announced to give 75000 crore rupees for the new schemes of the railway, after which now while giving a press conference, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that "Rs 2.41 lakh crore has been allocated for the railways. This is a big change. And it will meet the aspirations of the passengers. The production of Vande Bharat trains will be revamped."

Along with this, he told that "a total of 1275 stations will be redeveloped including big stations in the Amrit Bharat scheme. Vande Bharat train production will start in Sonipath, Latur and Rae Bareli. A hydrogen train will also be built by December 2023 under the Green Growth Initiative. Which will be designed and manufactured in India. First, it will run on heritage circuits like Kalka-Shimla and later it will be expanded to other places.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told that "Now apart from ICF Chennai, Vande Bharat trains will also be constructed at Sonipat in Haryana and Latur in Maharashtra and Rae Bareli in UP. In Maharashtra, earlier CM Uddhav Thackeray did not give permission, but now all Permissions are in place. This will fulfill PM Modi's dream of connecting every corner with Vande Bharat trains. With this, we are making good progress on 'Bullet Train'."

Ashwini Vaishnav said that in the coming 2-3 years, India will become an exporter of telecom technology. 4G-5G will be rolled out in BSNL under self-reliant India. Under the production of electronics, the concession has been given to the lenses used in mobile phones. Along with this, he said that "4 Centers of Excellence have been announced for all the talent available in India for AI, in which we will get information about how to use AI."

Railway Minister said that “India has been a bright spot when the world is facing difficulties. This budget will make India the growth engine of the world. Rs 2,41,000 crore has been allocated for Railways which is a record in itself "
