In the first phase, 788 candidates are fighting in the election field. In the second phase, polling will be held on 93 seats on December 5. 833 candidates will try their luck in the election field. This time the assembly elections in Gujarat are very interesting. Triangular competition is being seen for the first time. Kutch (06), Surendranagar (05), Morbi (03), Rajkot (08), Jamnagar (05), Devbhoomi Dwarka (02), Porbandar (02), Junagadh (05), Gir Somnath (04) in the state, Amreli (05), Bhavnagar (07), Botad (02), Narmada (02), Bharuch (05), Surat (16), Tapi (02), Dang (01), Navsari (04) and Valsad (05) Voting will be held on a total of 89 seats.

There are 2,39,76,670 voters in the first phase in 19 districts, of which 1,24,33,362 are male, 1,15,42,811 female and 497 transgender voters will be able to exercise their franchise. It will close at 5 pm on Tuesday under the rule of stopping campaigning 48 hours before the first phase of polling. After this, no unauthorized outsider will remain in the polling areas.
