Google CEO Sundar Pichai honoured with Padma Bhushan, said- 'India is my part, wherever I go'  

Padma Bhushan To Google CEO Sundar Pichai: Indian Ambassador to San Francisco, USA, Taranjit Singh Sindhu has honoured Google CEO Sundar Pichai with Padma Bhushan. Padma Bhushan is one of the best civilian awards in India. After receiving this honour, Sundar Pichai expressed his gratitude to the Government of India.

Padma Bhushan To Google CEO Sundar Pichai: Google CEO Sundar Pichai has been awarded the Padma Bhushan, considered one of India's best civilian awards. The award was presented to Sundar Pichai by Taranjit Singh Sindhu, Indian Ambassador to San Francisco, USA. The Indian ambassador shared a picture on Twitter honouring Sundar Pichai with the Padma Bhushan and wrote that it was a pleasure to hand over the Padma Bhushan to Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai in San Francisco. Sundar Pichai's inspirational journey from Madurai to Mountain View strengthens Indo-US economic and technology ties. This visit of Sundar Pichai also confirms the Indian talent. Sundar Pichai has also expressed happiness on being honoured with Padma Bhushan.

After being awarded the Padma Bhushan, Sundar Pichai said in his blog that he would like to thank Indian Ambassador Sandhu and for hosting him and giving him the Padma Bhushan. For this, he is very grateful to the Government of India and the people of India and expresses his respect to them. In his blog, Sundar Pichai said that India is a part of him. He takes it with him wherever he goes.

Sundar Pichai, 50, said it has been amazing to return to India several times over the years to witness the rapid pace of technological change. From digital payments to voice technology, the changes made in India are benefiting people across the world. I look forward to continuing the great partnership between Google and India as we work together to bring the benefits of technology to more people.

In his blog, Sundar Pichai said that he was fortunate to have grown up in a family that learned and acquired knowledge. He said that his parents sacrificed a lot to ensure that he (Sundar Pichai) got opportunities to explore his interests. It goes on to say that Sundar Pichai is a resident of Madurai, India. His journey from Madurai to becoming the CEO of Google is a source of inspiration for many.

After being awarded the Padma Bhushan, Sundar Pichai praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India. His vision for Digital India has certainly been a milestone in that progress, and I am proud that Google has continued to invest in India, partnering with governments, businesses and communities over two transformative decades.
