Jammu and Kashmir: Infiltration attempt foiled in Tangdhar, terrorists killed, weapons recovered
A terrorist was killed while foiling an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in the Tangdhar sector of the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. A bag containing various warlike articles along with three AK rifles, three AK rifles and six magazines were also recovered.

Troops have foiled an infiltration bid in the Tangdhar sector of the Kupwara district. Army personnel have killed a terrorist while giving a befitting reply. The Army had received information from intelligence agencies regarding the possible infiltration of terrorists. Based on this action was taken on the intervening night of 23-24 March. The army has found a huge amount of objectionable material with the terrorist.
Jammu and Kashmir Police foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tangdhar sector on March 24 and killed a terrorist. The army has recovered more than 200 rounds of AK rifles, three magazines, two Chinese-type grenades and medicines, and eatables from the terrorist.
It is being told that the operation was carried out last night on the basis of reliable information received from intelligence agencies regarding the possible infiltration of terrorists. Suspicious activity was detected at around 4 am. Thereafter the contact was established by the ambush team as part of a joint operation. During this, an infiltrator was killed at a distance of about 800 meters from the Line of Control.
Pak once again tried to send drones from across the border. Border Security Force BSF shot down a Pakistani drone. Five Austrian-made Glock pistols and 91 rounds of ammunition dropped in Punjab near the International Border were recovered by the BSF on Friday. Arms and ammunition were dropped in the Metla area of the Gurdaspur sector around 2.30 am. During the search, a packet was recovered from the field. Officials said that five Glock pistols, 10 magazines and 91 bullets were found in the packet.
