Murder in the morning-marriage in the evening, killed the live-in partner and hid the dead body in the fridge, accused arrested  

Another heart-wrenching incident like the Shraddha murder case has come to the fore in the national capital of the country, Delhi. Police found the body of a 24-year-old girl in the refrigerator of a dhaba located on the outskirts of Mitraon village in Najafgarh. According to the police, the deceased Nikki Yadav was in a live-in relationship, but her boyfriend was preparing to marry another girl. About which he did not tell his live-in partner. When the deceased Nikki Yadav came to know about this, an altercation took place between the two, following which the accused allegedly killed her.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested Sahil Gehlot (24), a pharma student whose family runs a dhaba in Mitraon village. According to the police, the deceased Nikki Yadav and the accused started dating in 2018 and were living in Dwarka. When the girl went missing, a local person who knew her informed the police.

According to the police, the accused murderer Sahil Gehlot killed his girlfriend in the morning and then married another girl the same evening at the behest of the family members. During interrogation, the accused Sahil told the police that he strangled her to death in a car near Kashmere Gate ISBT in Delhi on February 10 and then took her dead body to Dhawa's fridge.

The accused told that he had met Nikki for the first time in 2018 when he was taking coaching at Aakash Institute in Uttam Nagar for the preparation of SSC exams. Then Nikki was also studying at Aakash Institute. Both used to travel on the same bus. According to the police, both did not clear the competitive exams but started living together in Greater Noida. After this Gehlot and Yadav had taken admission in Galgotia College. While he was pursuing pharmacy, she was pursuing her graduation in English Honours. They also made short trips together to Manali, Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun. Both were taken back to their homes during the lockdown. They met again after the lockdown and shifted to a rented house in Dwarka, Delhi.

Sahil Gehlot never told his family about Nikki Yadav's relationship. Last year, the family started asking Gehlot about his marriage plans and found a girl for his marriage in December 2022. The marriage was fixed but Sahil did not break up with Nikki. After a fight over his lies, he decides to kill her and puts her body in a freeze. He then went back home and married another girl the same evening.
