Assembly election campaigning is going on in full swing in Nagaland and Meghalaya. After the BJP leaders, today Prime Minister Narendra Modi will roar in the election states of Nagaland and Meghalaya. PA Modi will address the election rally during this. We will also do a roadshow in Shillong as per PM Modi's programme. PM Modi will address a rally of the BJP-NDPP, the only two parties to enter into an alliance ahead of the polls. Adequate security arrangements have been made in both states regarding the Prime Minister's visit.

A senior BJP leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to hold a roadshow in Shillong in support of the BJP candidates for the February 27 assembly elections. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will address an election rally in Tura, Western Meghalaya.

Briefing about PM Modi's visit, BJP Meghalaya President Ernest Mowry said that the Prime Minister will visit the Khyandailad area in the heart of Shillong city at 11 am after paying floral tributes to three freedom fighters of the state, U Tirot Sing, U Kiang Nangbah and Pa Togan Sangma. I will participate in the roadshow and then address the people.

The borders of Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh with Nagaland will be sealed from Saturday evening. Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Sandeep M Tamgadge said that neighbouring states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur have been requested to seal the border two days before the election to keep a check on outsiders entering the state.

Let us tell you that on Monday (February 27) voting will also be held for the Meghalaya Assembly elections. Earlier on February 16, voting has been done for Tripura. The results of the three northeastern states – Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura – will be out on March 2.
