Political agitation has intensified regarding the Gujarat Assembly elections to be held at the end of 2022.  Veteran politician and former Gujarat Chief Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela on Sunday formed a new party 'Praja Shakti Democratic Party'.  His party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat.

BJP is taking public lightly
On the launch of Prajashakti Democratic Party, former Gujarat CM Shankersinh Vaghela said that people are fed up with BJP.  There is no governance, only corruption.  BJP, Congress, you all have the same owner.  BJP is taking people lightly.  Appealing to the people of Gujarat, he said that you have an option and that is our party which will give free education to your family.  Health will help.  The party will give you a job.  There will be no corruption in our government.

People are looking for alternative to BJP
Announcing his intention to re-enter electoral politics, Vaghela told local media in Gandhinagar that people were looking for an alternative to the BJP.  The doors of BJP, Congress and AAP are closed for me, so I decided to start Praja Shakti Democratic Party.  The party was registered a year and a half ago.  Now we have a party.

Vaghela made many promises to the people of Gujarat
Vaghela has already made many promises to the people of the state on his Facebook page, such as health insurance cover of Rs 12 lakh for a family earning Rs 12 lakh annually, free education up to class XII to the children of such family, employment to the youth.  Unemployment allowance, exemption from water tax, free electricity up to 100 units, loan waiver to farmers, relief in electricity bills, new scientific liquor policy etc.
