Things have worsened in Tehran and several other Iranian cities after the death of a woman detained by the Islamic Republic Police (Morality Police). According to the information, on the sixth day of the woman's death, the protesters turned furious and torched police stations and vehicles in several areas of the city on Thursday. At least nine people have died in clashes between Iranian security forces and protesters angered by the death of a 22-year-old woman in police custody, according to a tally on Thursday by The Associated Press.

The widespread outages of Instagram and WhatsApp, which protesters use to share information about the government's rolling action on dissent, continued on Thursday. Authorities are also working to block access to the Internet to the outside world. Iranians experienced an "almost complete" Internet blackout on Wednesday amid massive protests against the government over the death of Mahsa Amini.

Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman in Tehran, died last week after she was arrested by police for allegedly "violating hijab rules. The woman had slipped into a coma while in custody." However, the officials have said that they will start an investigation into the cause of death.

At the same time, after Amini's death, people's anger erupted and Iran saw the biggest protest since 2019. Most of Iran's Kurdish population is concentrated in the northwestern regions but is currently spread over the Kurdish capital and at least 50 cities and towns. The police then used force to disperse the protesters. In the northeast, protesters raised slogans of "We will die, we will die, but we will bring Iran back" near a police station.

Apart from this, another police station in the capital Tehran was also set on fire due to the insurgency spreading from Amini's home province of Kurdistan. It is worth noting that Iran's rulers remember the protests after the increase in gasoline prices in 2019 which is the Islamic Republic. It was the largest protest in U.S. history in which 1,500 people were killed. At the same time, the protesters also expressed anger against the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Kurdish group Hangau's report, which could not be verified, said three more protesters had died, bringing the death toll in retaliation by security forces to 10 on Wednesday. The authorities, however, denied that the protesters were killed in the crackdown by the security forces. With the protests showing no sign of easing, the authorities have also banned the internet.

The death of Amini has sparked anger across the Islamic Republic of Iran over many issues including freedom in the Islamic Republic and the economy struggling with sanctions. At the same time, women have played a major role in these protests.
