Every year dengue wreaks havoc in different areas in India and does not know how many lives it takes. Many dengue cases have been reported this year as well, meanwhile, the good news is coming out. The news is that the dengue vaccine may soon be available in India. Immunologicals Limited (IIL) has also got approval for its first trial. If this trial is successful then it will be a big success.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the World Dairy Summit in Greater Noida, Dr. K Anand Kumar, Managing Director, IIL said, “We have now got the permission for Phase-I trial for Dengue vaccine. We got permission yesterday. Till now India There is no vaccine for dengue in India. If this trial is successful, it will be a huge success. We have completed the trial on all animals. Now we have also got permission for a human trial.”

Anand Kumar said that 'the first trial of this vaccine will be started soon, for this some centers have been identified. We are hoping that the vaccine will be available in the next two years.

The Indian Immunologicals Limited has developed this vaccine in collaboration with the US-based National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Apart from this, work on the dengue vaccine is also being done by Panacea Biotech Limited and Sanofi India Private Limited. Panacea Biotech Limited has completed Phase-I and Phase-II trials. Sanofi India Pvt Ltd's vaccine trial can also be started in India soon.
