On New Year, once again the capital of the country bowed its head in shame. A 20-year-old girl died tragically in Delhi's Sultanpuri area. When the Delhi BJP demanded action on the woman's dead body being found on the road, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena wrote in his tweet, I bow my head in shame at the inhuman crime in Kanjhawala-Sultanpuri and I am shocked by the monstrous insensitivity of the criminals. Am. All the five accused involved in the incident have been arrested by the Delhi Police. Questions are being raised by the Delhi Police regarding this heart-wrenching incident. What kind of promptness is this of the Delhi Police that, for 11 km, no policeman could see the car or the scooty.

Delhi BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva said that this is not an ordinary road accident, but a heinous crime. I appeal to the Delhi Police to ensure that the culprits are tried in a fast-track court and given exemplary punishment.

Delhi Lt Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena wrote in his tweet, I hang my head in shame at the inhuman crime that happened in Kanjhawala-Sultanpuri this morning and I am shocked by the monstrous insensitivity of the criminals. He further informed that the matter is being monitored with the Commissioner of Police, Delhi and the accused have been nabbed. All aspects are being thoroughly considered. Even all possible help will be ensured to the victim's family.

All five occupants of the car have been arrested. They have been identified as Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishna, Mithu and Manoj Mittal. Police said that on inspection of the spot, it was found that after the accident, the victim got trapped under the wheels and kept dragging for a long distance.

Taking suo motu cognizance of media reports, Delhi Commission for Women has issued summons to Delhi Police. Issuing the summons, the DCW has asked to provide a copy of the FIR registered in the case, details of the accused arrested in the case, a copy of the postmortem report of the deceased and whether any sexual assault investigation has been conducted on the deceased.

On the eve of New Year, a hair-raising incident took place in the Sultanpuri police station area of outer Delhi. In this, the youth immersed in alcohol intoxication and New Year's celebration kept dragging the girl riding a scooty trapped in the car after the collision. Due to this, rags of flesh, as well as clothes, flew away from the girl's body, but the youths did not stop the car. After about 11 km, the accused took out the dead body of the girl by backing the car and fled.
