Violence in Nalanda, Sasaram: After Ram Navami, the violence that broke out in the district of Nalanda and Sasaram in Bihar has now been gradually brought under control. The situation has now started returning to normal in the violence-affected areas in both districts. However, heavy deployment of the police force and Section 144 is still in force in both districts.

After the violence that broke out in Nalanda and Sasaram in Bihar during Ram Navami, the situation is slowly returning to normal. However, internet services are still suspended in both districts. The Nalanda district administration on Monday claimed that no untoward incident was reported from anywhere on Monday. The situation is completely under control and is slowly returning to normal. Meanwhile, it has been said that there is no restriction on the opening of shops and business establishments in compliance with the effective provisions of section 144. However, strict compliance with section 144 will be done from 4 pm. Nalanda DM Shashank Subhankar said that 104 static magistrates have been deputed at various places. In addition to the district force, 9 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the city.

The DM of Nalanda further informed that more than 1000 police forces have been deployed in the city from other districts as well. More than 15 FIRs have been registered in this matter so far and on the basis of evidence, more than 130 miscreants have been arrested. Continuous action is being taken to arrest other miscreants on the basis of identification.

Here, the condition of Sasaram has also been claimed to have improved. A police officer said that the violence after Ram Navami has been controlled by the Rohtas police. 3 FIRs have been registered by Rohtas Police and 43 people have been arrested so far. The social networking site is being constantly monitored by the Rohtas police.

Different teams have been formed by the Rohtas police and action is being taken to arrest the miscreants by identifying them from the CCTV footage. In this light, cooperation is also being sought from local sources. The district administration has appealed to the people to avoid rumours. It is noteworthy that after the procession of Ram Navami, there was a violent clash in Nalanda and Rohtas district headquarters Sasaram of the state.
