Police sources said that the terrorists fired at three houses in Dangri village, about 8 km from Rajouri town. 10 people were badly injured. Three people were declared brought dead on arrival by the doctors, while another succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. Senior police and army officials have reached the village to oversee the cordon and search operation to nab the terrorists, a source said. The injured are being taken to the Jammu Medical College Hospital for better treatment, an official said.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Mahmood in Rajouri said that there was an incident of firing in the Dangri area of Rajouri. In this, 3 people have lost their lives, and 7 have been injured. The injured were admitted to the hospital and are being treated. Police and district administration have reached the spot. Dr. Mehmood said that there were several bullet marks on the bodies of the injured.
The second incident of terrorist attack took place in Srinagar on the first day of the new year. When the terrorists hurled a grenade at the CRPF bunker, it exploded on the roadside. In which a civilian was injured. According to officials, Sameer Ahmed Malla, a resident of Habak, sustained minor injuries in the blast. He has been admitted to the hospital.
Several political parties in Jammu and Kashmir have condemned the terrorist attack.
