Corona cases have decreased in India. But doctors believe that the negligence being done regarding the corona can prove to be dangerous for the common man. A total of 8 thousand 813 new corona-positive cases have been found in the country in the last 24 hours.

India's active corona cases are currently 1,11,252. Active cases now account for 0.25% of the total positive cases in the country. India's recovery rate is 98.56 percent. In the last 24 hours, 15 thousand 40 patients have been cured and the total number of cured patients (since the beginning of the epidemic) has now increased to 4,36,38,844.

A total of 2,12,129 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. India has so far conducted 88.06 crore (88,06,92,503) cumulative tests. The weekly positivity rate in the country is currently 4.79% and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 4.15%.

The COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 208.31 crore (2,08,31,24,694). This has been achieved through 2,76,96,728 sessions.

The COVID-19 vaccination for the age group of 12-14 years was started on March 16, 2022. So far, over 3.97 crores (3,97,74,706) of adolescents have been given the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precautionary dose administration for the age group of 18-59 years also started on April 10, 2022.

The central government started corona vaccination in the entire country on 16 January 2021. The vaccine is being made available in 75 states and union territories as part of the nationwide vaccination campaign. The Center has so far given more than 199.01 crore vaccine doses to the states.

At present, more than 6.98 crore COVID vaccine doses are available in stock with the states. which is meant for the general public. In government health centers, this dose of the Covid vaccine is being provided free of cost, while in private centers this dose is being charged.
